At Dreevt, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account and data, what information is deleted, what is retained, and the consequences of account deletion.
1. How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your Dreevt account and associated data, please contact our support team:

Subject Line: "Account Deletion Request"
Include: Your registered email address and full name so we can verify your identity.
Our team will verify your identity and guide you through the deletion process. You will receive a confirmation email once your request has been processed.
2. What Data Gets Deleted
Upon processing your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Profile Information: Your name, email address, phone number, profile image, biography, and any other personal details.
- Saved Favourites: All properties and listings you have saved to your favourites.
- Device Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens associated with your devices.
- Notification Preferences: Your push notification, email notification, and SMS notification settings.
- Saved Payment Methods: Stored card mandates and payment authorisations will be deactivated and removed.
- Property View History: Records of properties you have viewed.
- Search History: Search index entries associated with your account.
3. What Data Is Retained
Certain data may be retained after account deletion for legal, financial, and regulatory compliance purposes:
- Booking & Transaction Records: Records of completed bookings, payment transactions, and escrow transfers are retained as required by Nigerian financial regulations and tax laws.
- Payment History: Transaction logs and payout records processed through Paystack, retained for audit and compliance purposes.
- Communications: Copies of messages exchanged on the Platform may be retained in anonymised form for safety, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.
- Legal Obligations: Any data required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal proceedings.
Retained data is stored securely and accessed only for the specific purposes described above.
4. Deletion Timeline
- We will acknowledge your deletion request within 48 hours of receiving it.
- Identity verification and processing typically takes 5–10 business days.
- Once processed, your account and eligible data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
- You will receive an email confirmation when the deletion is complete.
5. Consequences of Account Deletion
Please consider the following before requesting account deletion. Once processed, this action cannot be reversed:
- You will lose access to your booking history, including past and upcoming reservations.
- All saved favourites and property view history will be permanently removed.
- Your conversations and messages with hosts/agents will no longer be accessible.
- Reviews you have written will be anonymised and may remain visible on the Platform without your personal information.
- If you are an Agent/Host, your property listings will be deactivated and removed from the Platform.
- Any pending bookings must be resolved (completed or cancelled) before account deletion can be processed.
- Any pending escrow funds must be released or refunded before account deletion.
6. Alternatives to Deletion
If you're not sure about permanent deletion, consider these alternatives:
- Update Your Profile: You can edit or remove personal information from your profile at any time through your account settings.
- Manage Notifications: Disable push, email, or SMS notifications without deleting your account.
- Remove Payment Methods: Delete saved payment methods and payout accounts independently through your account settings.
