Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Dreevt platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Dreevt Ltd ("Dreevt," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Lagos, Nigeria.

2. Definitions

• "User" — Any individual who registers for and uses the Platform to browse, search, or book services.
• "Agent" or "Host" — Any individual or entity that lists properties, experiences, or services on the Platform.
• "Booking" — A reservation made by a User for accommodation, trip, event, or other service listed on the Platform.
• "Dreevt" — A listing on the Platform, which may include shortlets, hotels, beach houses, event spaces, trips, or experiences.
• "Escrow" — The payment holding mechanism through which booking funds are held by Dreevt until the service is delivered and the User confirms release.
• "Service Fee" — The fee charged by Dreevt to Users for use of the Platform.

3. Account Registration & Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform.
• You may register using your email address and password, or via Google authentication.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your profile information up to date.
• Dreevt reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

4. Platform Services

Dreevt is a marketplace that connects Users with Agents/Hosts offering:

• Accommodations: Shortlets, hotels, beach houses, and other short-term rental properties.
• Trips & Experiences: Curated group trips, tours, hiking adventures, and vacation packages.
• Events & Ticketing: Event discovery, ticket purchasing, concerts, conferences, and meet-and-greets.
• In-House Events: Venue booking and event management services.
• Flights: Flight booking agency services.

Dreevt acts as an intermediary platform. We do not own, operate, or manage the properties, experiences, or services listed by Agents/Hosts. The contractual relationship for the provision of the service is between the User and the Agent/Host.

5. Booking Terms

• Bookings follow a structured workflow: Draft → Pending → Paid → Completed. Bookings may also be Cancelled at applicable stages.
• The maximum booking duration is 1,000 days. Availability blocking by hosts is limited to 90-day periods at a time.
• Default check-in time is 3:00 PM and default check-out time is 12:00 PM (noon), unless otherwise specified by the Agent/Host.
• Availability is subject to the Agent/Host's calendar. Dreevt does not guarantee availability of any listing at any time.
• Cancellation policies are set by individual Agents/Hosts. Please review the applicable cancellation policy before confirming a booking.
• Dreevt may send reminders for bookings with unpaid balances. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the booking.

6. Fees & Pricing

• Dreevt charges a 5% service fee on the base price of each booking.
• A 7.5% Value Added Tax (VAT) is applied on the subtotal (base price plus service fee), in accordance with Nigerian tax regulations.
• Total pricing is calculated dynamically based on the number of rooms, nights, guests, and any applicable special rates set by the Agent/Host.
• All prices displayed on the Platform are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless otherwise stated.
• Dreevt reserves the right to modify the service fee structure. Changes will be communicated to Users before they take effect and will not apply to existing confirmed bookings.

7. Payment Terms

• All payments are processed through Paystack, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor.
• Accepted payment methods include debit/credit cards and direct bank debits.
• You may save payment methods (card mandates) for future transactions. You can deactivate saved payment methods at any time through your account settings.
• By making a payment, you authorise Dreevt and Paystack to charge the specified amount to your chosen payment method.
• Payment must be completed to confirm a booking. Unpaid bookings remain in a pending state and may be cancelled.

8. Escrow Service

To protect both Users and Agents/Hosts, Dreevt operates an escrow payment system:

• When a booking is paid, the funds are held in escrow by Dreevt rather than being immediately transferred to the Agent/Host.
• Funds are released to the Agent/Host only when the booking customer initiates the release after the check-in date has passed.
• Only the User who made the booking can authorise the release of escrow funds. This is a one-time, irreversible action.
• The Agent/Host must have a verified payout account (a Nigerian bank account verified through Paystack) to receive released funds.
• If the service was not delivered as described, the User may request a refund instead of releasing the funds. Refund requests are reviewed and processed in accordance with our refund policy.

9. Payout Terms (Agents/Hosts)

• To receive payouts, Agents/Hosts must register a valid Nigerian bank account (10-digit account number) on the Platform.
• Account details are verified through Paystack, including account number resolution and account name matching.
• Payouts are processed via Paystack bank transfers once the User releases escrow funds.
• Dreevt is not responsible for delays caused by banking institutions or incorrect account information provided by the Agent/Host.
• Agents/Hosts may update or remove their payout account at any time through their account settings.

10. User Conduct & Content

10.1 Reviews

• Users may submit reviews only for properties where they have a completed booking (status "paid" or "completed").
• Each User may submit one review per property.
• Reviews must include a rating (1–5 stars) and a written comment (between 10 and 2,000 characters).
• Reviews must be honest, relevant, and comply with these Terms. Dreevt reserves the right to remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, or violate any applicable laws.

10.2 Messaging

• The Platform provides messaging between guests and hosts for booking-related communication.
• You must not use messaging to harass, spam, or send inappropriate content to other users.
• Dreevt may monitor messages for safety, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes.

10.3 General Conduct

• You must not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law.
• You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other user accounts, or our systems.
• You must not scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform without our express written consent.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Dreevt Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Platform without our prior written consent. User-generated content (reviews, messages, profile information) remains the property of the respective user, but by posting content on the Platform, you grant Dreevt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating the Platform.

12. Limitation of Liability

• Dreevt provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Dreevt is not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any listing, property, experience, or service provided by Agents/Hosts.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dreevt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
• Dreevt's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total service fees paid by you to Dreevt in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Dispute Resolution

• In the event of a dispute between a User and an Agent/Host, the parties are encouraged to resolve the matter directly. Dreevt may assist by mediating communications through the Platform.
• If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to mediation before pursuing any legal action.
• Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of Lagos, Nigeria.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lagos, Nigeria.

15. Modifications to Terms

Dreevt reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or via email. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

16. Termination

Dreevt may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our reasonable discretion. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law) shall survive.
