This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Dreevt platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). Dreevt Ltd is registered in Lagos, Nigeria, and complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your first name, last name, email address, phone number, profile image, and biography.
- Business Information (Agents/Hosts): Company name, business name, business address, website, and business description.
- Payment Information: Payment card details and bank account information (account number, bank code) are processed through our payment partner, Paystack. We store payment authorization references and payout recipient details but do not directly store your full card numbers.
- Booking Information: Details about your bookings, including dates, property selections, guest counts, and special requests.
- Messages: Content of conversations between guests and hosts on the Platform.
- Reviews: Ratings (1–5 stars) and written reviews (10–2,000 characters) you submit after completing a booking.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens for delivering push notifications to your device.
- Browsing and Search Data: Your search queries, property views, and interactions with listings are indexed to improve your experience.
- Property View History: Records of properties you have viewed, retained for up to 90 days.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyse Platform usage.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and our services, including accommodation bookings, trip experiences, event ticketing, and flight reservations.
- Process bookings and payments, including holding funds in escrow and facilitating payouts to agents and hosts.
- Communicate with you via email notifications, push notifications, and SMS regarding bookings, messages, account updates, and promotional offers.
- Personalise your experience by providing search results, featured listings, and recommendations based on your activity.
- Verify agent/host identity and payout account information through our payment partners.
- Monitor and analyse usage trends, generate analytics, and improve the Platform.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate the Platform:
- Paystack: Payment processing, card authorisations, escrow fund management, bank account verification, and fund transfers.
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database services, cloud functions, and push notifications.
- Clerk: User authentication and identity management.
- Algolia: Search indexing for properties, bookings, conversations, and user profiles to deliver fast search results.
- Google Places: Address autocomplete and location details for property listings.
- Smartsupp: Live chat support on the Platform.

4. Data Sharing
We may share your information with:
- Hosts and Agents: When you make a booking, the host/agent receives your name, contact details, and booking information necessary to fulfil the reservation.
- Guests: Hosts' public profile information, property details, and reviews are visible to guests.
- Payment Processors: Payment and banking information is shared with Paystack to process transactions, verify accounts, and facilitate transfers.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dreevt, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
- Property View History: Automatically deleted after 90 days.
- Device Tokens: Stale FCM tokens are automatically removed when they are no longer valid.
- Booking and Transaction Records: Retained as required for financial, legal, and regulatory compliance.
- Account Data: Retained for the duration of your account. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed in accordance with our data deletion policy.
6. Your Rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and other applicable laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and contractual retention requirements. See our data deletion page for details.
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.

Payment information is processed through PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors. While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
